Good morning. On this day in 1858, the Wedding March by Felix Mendelssohn was popularized by Queen Victoria. Since then, countless brides have walked down the aisle to the tune though I think I would prefer something a little more upbeat. "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" by Beyonce, perhaps? Queen Victoria's Wedding March    Alexa Questions: Having done this lesson with several students, in my opinion, it's ok to let them pick "Queen Victoria" as the main topic.  Sure, with more advanced students, I would ask them questions to lead them onto "The Wedding March", but since we are asking my newer and more impaired students to pick information out of the air and develop strategies for answering questions and expand their syntax and writing skills, I don't hassle them too much on the fine points of "main idea", rememer that was something your general education classroom teachers kept ref...

Bittersweet chocolate worksheet It occurred to me that you might like to know the various "other" parts of the white board: Here are the books that the younger children can choose to read with me, they usually are thematic to the season or a theme we might be exploring. This is the high score that a group has obtained using Bobbit (picture below).  This is an auditory activitiy that gets a group working cooperatively AND listening really carefully.

Good morning! David Robert Jones was born in London on this day in 1947. You probably know him better as David Bowie. At age 18 he changed his name to distinguish himself from England's other Davy Jones, lead singer of The Monkees. His manager said, "Nobody's going to make a monkey out of you!"   David Bowie Worksheet
