Alexa's topic today is National Audubon Day.

John James Audubon drew and painted North American Birds in their natural habitat.

A habitat is where something lives.

People who study birds are ornithologists.

He lived from 1785  to 1851.

Alexa mentions that there are 10,000 species of birds.  Species means kinds or types of animals.
